Home Remedy For Cleaning Upholstery
Household furniture often gets easily stained. These stains result from dirty hands making contact with the upholstery. Pets also sometimes soil your furniture in this way.
Products that you might find around the house to be used for this purpose include dish soap and hydrogen peroxide. These help remove the stains you see on upholstery and also these substances help disinfect and clean the surface of all your pieces of furniture.
A Small Guide
The first step to cleaning your upholstery is to add a small amount of dish soap to the stain. Then, rub it gently into the fabric. After that, add enough water in order to work up a strong lather. When you are finished with this, blot the stain with a dry cloth and more water until the fabric comes clean.
The next step is then to use vinegar and hydrogen peroxide to help take care of the most stubborn stains. However, in doing so make sure you test the cleaner on an insignificant area o the fabric, such as on the underside of the cushion or the lower back of the chair, sofa, or other furniture.
Testing this stronger high-acidity solution will ensure that no damage will result. Of course, do not use this mixture if it damages the fabric.
