Green Tea Ice Cream

Green Tea Ice Cream is a typical ice cream flavour of Japan. Green Tea Ice Cream is the highly popular ice cream flavour amongst the Japanese. Origin of Green Tea Ice Cream

In Japanese, the green tea ice cream is known as Matcha no aisu kurīmu. The word Matcha has been derived from a particular type of green tea generally put in to the Japanese tea ceremony. The green tea ice gream in the form of monaka, which is a Japanese sweet made of azuki bean is also sold. The azuki bean has been sandwiched within two thin crease wafers that is made from mochi. Since the late 1970s this green tea ice cream in the form of monaka is accessible in the United States. But formerly, it was available in Asian restaurants and markets. Later on this food was moved into mainstream accessibility.

Recipe of Green Tea Ice-cream

To make green tea ice cream one needs to have 3/4 cup milk; 2 egg yolks; 5 tbsp sugar; 3/4 cup heavy cream; 1 tbsp maccha green tea powder; 3 tbsps hot water. On first phase, hot water and green tea powder needs to be mixed up together in a bowl and set aside the bowl. Then after egg yolks needs to be whisk lightly in a pan. Afterwards add some sugar in it and mix well in the pan. Some milk needs to be added gradually in the pan and this needs to be mixing very well. Now on low heat one should put the pan and heat the assortment. While putting on heat the mixture needs to be stirred constantly. As the mixture gets thickened, the pan needs to be removed from the heat. After that the bottom of the pan needs to be soaked in water that is icy cold. Then add some green tea to the mixture of egg. This total mixture needs to be mixed well. Afterwards applying ice water the mixture should be cool down. Then fluff up heavy cream needs to be added in the mixture. This mixture soothingly should be stirred. After that pour this mixture into an ice cream maker and leave it to be freeze. The whole process of pouring into ice cream maker should be taken place following the instructions applicable with the ice cream maker. If the availability of ice cream maker is not possible then simply pour the mixture into a bud vase and then freeze it. For few times it is needed to stir the ice cream. After this green tea ice cream is ready and can be served to 4-6 people at a time.
