Clonex is used alone or along with other medications to treat convulsive disorders such as epilepsy. It is also prescribed for panic disorder - unexpected attacks of overwhelming panic accompanied by fear of recurrence. Clonex belongs to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines

How to Take Clonex

Take Clonex medicine as directed. It can be taken with or without food. Each tablet also contains lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and corn starch. Daily doses of 1.0 to 2.0 mg of clonazepam offered the best balance of therapeutic benefit and tolerability

What are the Side Effects of Clonex ?

Some common side effects reported with Clonex medicine include

• Nausea and vomiting.
• Weakness or tiredness.

Warnings and precautions for Clonex

• Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Clonex, aspirin, tartrazine (a yellow dye in some processed foods and drugs), or any other drugs.
• Clonex slows the nervous system and its effects may be intensified by alcohol. Do not drink while taking this medication.
• Avoid Clonex if at all possible during the first 3 months of pregnancy; there is a risk of birth defects.
• Although drinking moderate amounts of alcohol is unlikely to affect your response to Clonex, it is best to avoid alcohol while you are taking Clonex medicine.

What if Overdose of Clonex ?

If you take overdose of Clonex the seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center.

What if you miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of Clonex, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

How to Store Clonex

• Keep out of the reach of children in a container that small children cannot open.
• Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Keep container tightly closed.
• Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
