• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Klonopin, call your doctor immediately. You should not nurse a baby while taking Klonopin.
• Remember that alcohol can add to the drowsiness caused by Klonopin drug. You should avoid drinking alcohol while taking Klonopin tablets.
• Klonopin (clonazepam) may be habit forming. Anyone can easily become dependent on klonopin. Physical and/or psychological dependence can occur, and withdrawal effects are possible if the medication is stopped suddenly after prolonged or high-dose treatment. Do not stop taking Klonopin (clonazepam) suddenly without first talking to your doctor if you have been taking it continuously for more than 5 to 7 days. Your doctor may want to gradually reduce the dose.
• Do not take Klonopin (clonazepam) if you have narrow-angle glaucoma. Klonopin (clonazepam) may worsen this condition.

The CNS-depressant action of the benzodiazepine class of drugs may be potentiated by alcohol, narcotics, barbiturates, nonbarbiturate hypnotics, antianxiety agents, the phenothiazines, thioxanthene and butyrophenone classes of antipsychotic agents, monoamine oxidase inhibitors and the tricyclic antidepressants, and by other anticonvulsant drugs.
